Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the GlucoGuide mobile app and related services (the "Service") provided by Idearellc ("GlucoGuide", "we", "us"), based in Seven Hills, Ohio, USA. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have parent or guardian consent. If you use the Service on behalf of someone else, you confirm you have authority to do so.

2. The Service

GlucoGuide is a wellness app that helps people with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes analyze meals using AI, log blood glucose readings, view weekly insights, and see an estimated A1C. Features may change over time.

3. Not medical advice

GlucoGuide provides estimates for educational and wellness purposes only. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Never use GlucoGuide to determine insulin doses or to replace guidance from a doctor, endocrinologist, or certified diabetes educator. Always seek professional medical advice for decisions about your health.

4. Subscriptions, free trial & Lifetime Access

• Premium Monthly — $7.99/month (or local equivalent) with a 3-day free trial. Auto-renews monthly unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Lifetime Access — one-time in-app purchase. Grants access to Premium features for the life of the GlucoGuide service and your account. It does not include future paid products, separate services, or features sold separately.
• Purchases are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on where you subscribe. Manage or cancel anytime in your store account settings.
• If you do not cancel the free trial before it ends, it will automatically convert to a paid subscription.

5. Refunds

Refunds are handled by the store where you purchased (Apple App Store or Google Play) in line with their policies. See our Refunds page for details.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract source code or models from the Service.
• Use the Service to make clinical decisions, dose insulin, or provide medical advice to others.
• Upload content you don't have the right to use, or anything unlawful, abusive, or that violates someone else's rights.
• Interfere with the Service, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or use it to build a competing product.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of meal photos, descriptions, and glucose readings you submit. You grant us a limited license to process them solely to provide the Service to you (for example, to run an AI meal analysis or compute insights).

8. Intellectual property

The GlucoGuide name, logo, app, and underlying software are owned by Idearellc and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Estimates produced by the Service (carbs, glycemic impact, A1C) may be inaccurate and should not be relied on for medical decisions.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Idearellc will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or health outcomes, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that could cause harm. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

12. Updates to features and pricing

We may update features and pricing with notice. Continued use after changes means acceptance of the updated Terms. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ohio, unless otherwise required by local consumer protection law.
